ENCLOSURE 2 NOTICE OF DEVIATION

Georgia Power Company Docket Nos. 50-424 and 50-425 Vogtle Unit 1 License Nos. CPPR-108 and CPPR-109 The following deviations were identified during a Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) inspection conducted on July 7-18, 1986.
A.
Vogtle FSAR Section 9.4.5.5.F states that battery room vacuum exhaust motors are to be explosion proof.
Contrary to the above, explosion proof exhaust fans were not procured or installed in the battery room.
B.
Vogtle FSAR Section 6.4.2.2.2.J states that the control room doors will be electrically interlocked and provided with alarms that will annunciate if any of the doors are opened after change over to emergency operations.
Contrary to the above, the control room doors are not electrically inter-locked and alarms are not provided to annunciate if any of the doors are opened after change over to emergency operations.
Please provide in writing within 30 days of the date of this Notice a description of corrective actions regarding these deviations, actions taken to avoid further deviations, and the dates when these actions were or will be completed.
