Dear Administrative Judges:
Subject:
In the Matter of Texas Utilities Electric Company, et al.
Request for an Operating License for Comanche Peak Steam Electric Station, Units 1 and 2 Docket Nos. 50-445 and 50-446 O L-December 3,1986, Prehearing Conference It is my understanding from discussions with Mr. Roisman that a prehearing conference has been scheduled in Washington on December 3, 1986, to discuss discovery matters. This is to confirm that I have no problem with the prehearing conference being held in Washington (rather than Dallas), since it is my understanding that the only matters to be discussed will be Sets 1 through 7 of the discovery which has been filed by Mr. Roisman or Ms. Garde regarding the CPRT Plan.
Since the conference will be transcribed and I will have access to the transcript, and since Mr. Roisman or Ms. Garde filed those Sets which will be discussed, I do not believe it will be necessary for me to be present at this particular prehearing conference, and it will be more convenient and less expensive for most of the participants for the prehearing conference to be held in Washington.
If my understanding of the subjects which will be discussed is incorrect and any other matters are to be discussed, I ask that the Board immediately so I
advise and that those other matters be discussed at a different time (either in Dallas or in a telephone conference call) or that this conference be rescheduled in Dallas so that I can also attend and participate, as the client on those matters on which Mr. Roisman and Ms. Garde are authorized to j
represent CASE and as one of CASE's three representatives (the primary representative on some issues).
i Respectfully submitted, CASE (Citizens Association for Sound
