SUBJECT:
REVIEW 0F TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS IN THE OPERATING LICENSE REVIEW PROCESS This is to inform you that we are initiating the subject review.
This review was included in our 1985 Audit Plan.
Our review will initially be broad in scope with its objectives being to review the process by which technical specifications are reviewed and approved, and to assess improvements made to the process based on NRC's experience with the Grand Gulf technical specifica-tions.
We will be contacting officials in the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation during the week of May 20, 1985, to initiate our review.
We welcome any comments or suggestions you have regarding this review.
