Dear Dr. Nozawa:

Thank you for your permission, by Telex dated December 7,1979, to release our English translation of the JAERI Facility Description (JAERI MEM0-8110) and Drawings to the General Electric Company, as well as to the Mark II owners in the United States.

As you requested, we have deleted any reference to JAERI MEM0-8110 from that report and infomed recipients that references to infomation contained in that report should be stated "Information is taken from JAERI M-8780 (In print)."

I would like to re-emphasize the importance of the data obtained from the JAERI facility in providing confirmation for the conservative hydrodynamic loads that

( are reported in our NUREG-0487 for the lead Mark II plants in the United States.

These data will also provide the data base for evaluation of the reduction in these loads as proposed by the Mark II owners as a part of their Long Term Pro-gram.

I would also like to thank you for your prompt reply to our request. We look forward to continuing our good working relationship with you and your staff.
