. Gentlemen:
The NRC has received an allegation that brazing has been done inside containment at Prairie Island on safety-related components such as Krack coolers and the reactor coolant systems by unqualified (uncertified) brazers.
It is further alleged that ~there are no qualified brazers assigned to the Prairie Island plant.
3 This information is forwarded to Northern States Power Company for review and followup.
We request that the results of your review and disposition of this matter be submitted to Region III after completion. Documentation supporting your results should be maintained onsite for audit by Region III.
