In response to Item 1.C. of our letter dated April 11, 1984, and our subsequent requests for additional infonnation, the Boston Edison Company provided data and analyses in support of its position that a specific time limit on contain-ment purging and venting during reactor operation is unnecessary at Pilgrim Station.
We have reviewed the informatinn provided with your submittals dated April 1, 1985 and October 23, 1985, and we have concluded that your position is justified.
Enclosed is a copy of our Safety Evaluation relative to this matter.
