Dr. Shirley Jackson, Chair and Commissioners Diaz, Dieus and McGaffin, i

U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Washington, D.C. 20555 I

Dear Commissioners,

h I was shocked to learn that only five minutes heesemia:np given to our Suffolk County organizations at the April 14th NRC hearing on the Restart of Millstone Reactor #2.

FIVE MINUTES out of a four hour meeting! It That is an insult.

l i

The NRC is responsible for the protection of the health and I

safety of the public. As members of the public, we want to be heard. We want our questions to be answered. We want our i

concern for our childrens' futures and the future of our i

environment to be seriously addressed, t

We want a delay on the Restart of Millstone Reactor #2 until our safety and health questions are answered and the existing problems resolved. We want adequate 50 mile emergency l

planning; we want the 10 mile evacuation zone extended.
