Dear Mr. Keppler:
On June 28, 1984, the Commonwealth Edison Company notified your office of a deficiency reportable pursuant to 10CFR 50.55(e) concerning the unsatisfactory operation Curing confirmatory testing I
of the Steam Generator Snubbers supplied by the Boeing Company for our Byron and Braidwood Stations.
Reference (a) provided the thirty day report concerning this matter.
The purpose of this letter is to provide the Final Report.
We have reviewed the steam generator snubber functional j
test results and find them acceptable.
The snubbers have been refurbished and tested for By'ron Unit 2 and Braidwood 1 and 2.
This testing was performed per procedures which were reviewed by CECO, Sargent & Lundy, and NRC Region III.
