Attached is the Final Design Description for the "ATWS Mitigation Actuation Circuitry (AMSAC)" System for McGuire and Catawba Nuclear Stations. This submittal
. is in response to the request for plant specific design features contained in the Safety Evaluation Reports for each station transmitted by your letters of September 22, 1986.
We request that the NRC review of this submittal be completed by May 1,1987, in order for us to meet our proposed implementation schedule. Any questions can be directed through normal Licensing channels.
