SUMMARY
OF MEETING WITH GEORGIA POWER COMPANY, HATCH UNIT 1 AND 2 A meeting with representatives of Georgia Power Company (GPC) and personnel from the NRC was held at the NRC's office in Bethesda, Maryland on July 16, 1986 to have GPC dis:uss and explain its May 16, 1986 submittal requesting exemptions for Hatch Units 1 and 2 to the fire protection requirements of Appendix R to 10 CFR 50. GPC discussed the history of its Appendix R submittals and exemption request.
It also discussed its schedule for submittal of the Fire Hazards Analysis and request to delete the fire protection Technical Specification.
It discussed its schedular needs for staff review and approval. A copy of the charts used by GPC in its presentation and a list of meeting attendees are enclosed, met *h -cd by George Rivenbark, Project Manager BWR Project Directorate #2 Division of BWR Licensing
