Gentlemen:
This refers to the inspection conducted by Mr. D. E. Norman of this office
during the period November 17-21, 1986, of activities authorized by NRC
Operating License DPR-34 for Fort St. Vrain, and to the discussion of our
findings with you and other members of your staff at the conclusion of the
inspection.
Areas examined during the inspection included the EQ outage programs and an
allegation regarding unresolved safety issues at Fort St. Vrain.
Within these
areas, the inspection consisted of selective examination of procedures and
representative records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the NRC
inspector.
At the time of this inspection, the NRC was scheduled to perform a team inspection
concerning equipment qualification during the week of January 5, 1987.
Based
on your request during our conference call on December 5, 1986, we have rescheduled
the team inspection for the week of January 26, 1987.
The inspection findings
are documented in the enclosed inspection report.
Within the scope of the inspection, no violations or deviations were
identified.
Should you have any questions concerning this inspection, we will be pleased to
discuss them with you.
