Staff Acceptance of Environmental Protection Plan for Vogtle Unit 1 By letter dated February 28, 1986, Georgia Power Company (GPC) submitted its proposed Environmental Protection Plan (EPP) for Vogtle Unit 1.
The staff has reviewed the EPP and concludes that it is acceptable with slight modifications.
These modifications include deletions of references to the NPDES permit for which the NRC is not responsible and clarification and restructuring for consistency with other Environmental Protection Plans. These deletions and clarifications in no way change GPC's responsibilities.
The EPP, as modified by the staff, is encloscd herein and will be included as Appendix B to the facility operating license.
