2.3.3 Ensure that groups are equipped with a first aid kit, stretcher and blanket, or can get them enroute. See attached Appendix EP-252-2 for i

listing of first aid equipment locations in the plant.

2.3.4 Appoint most qualified person in a group to direct response at the scene i.e. direct actions of the group and communicate with Search and Rescue Group Leader.

2.3.5 Coordinate Search and Rescue /First Aid Groups to minimize duplication of effort and unnecessary

radiation exposure.

2.3.6 Attempt to locate missing person (s) by utilizing

2.4.3 Determine the extent of the injury and administer

IF THE. INJURY IS SEVERE, IMMEDIATE MEDICAL TREATMENT IS OF THE HIGHEST PRIORITY AND RADIOLOGICAL CONTROLS ARE SECONDARY.

2.4.4 Perform a radiation and contamination survey of the person and subsequently the area.

2.4.5 If offsite medical r.upport is necessary, a member of tne first aid group shall provide to the Control Room as soon as practicable, information relating to the identities of those injured, the nature and severity of any injury and whether the injury is contaminated. The Control Room shall document this information on Appendix SE-ll-1 and make the necessary offsite notifications. In accordance with SE-ll (Appendix SE-ll-1 is attached as Appendix EP-252-4).
