-SYSTEM. PRESSURE TESTS By memorandum dated April 17, 1986, Region II requested NRR to provide a position regarding the performance of system pressure tests (leakage and hydrostatic).using nuclear' heating and a. definition of plant start-up with
. regard to pressureitesting'. ~.NRR.provided.the. position in a_ memorandum.to Region II dated April 29,'1986, (Attachment 1).
By "05000321/LER-1986-015, :on 860331,isolation of RHR Reactor Shutdown Cooling Suction Inboard Primary Containment Isolation Valve [[SSC" contains a listed "[" character as part of the property label and has therefore been classified as invalid. Occurred.Caused by Inadequate Procedure.Procedure 57SV-SUV-007-1S Will Be Revised|letter dated April 30, 1986]], Georgia Power Company (GPC).. requested and the staff granted a temporary waiver.of compl.iance' from the staff position.
As.a part of their.Apr.il 30, 1986, submittal, GPC stated they'would promptly' request a Code inquiry on'the
~
subject. By letter dated June 16, 1986, GPC provided the inquiries contained in Attachment 2 for resolution by ASME.
The staff has, as a part of the discussions with GPC, committed to aid GPC in expediting this matter with ASME to gain prompt resolution.
Please help us in resolving this matter.
