FEMA approval of the Alert and Notification System The enclosed letter and report details the review and approval of "Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant Site Specific Offsite Radiological Emergency Preparedness Alert and Notification System".
We concur with the FEMA recommendation that the notification system testing program in St. Mary and Calvert Counties be changed to match that of Dorchester County, or that operability of 100% of the sirens in Calvert and St. Mary County be verified immediately following each biweekly test.
We would appreciate your response to this recommendation within 90 days of receipt of this letter.
