Chemetron-I just talked to Ted Adams regarding a concern Dave Nelson raised with me yesterday. Dave was concerned that.the dolomite kiln dust may not be mixed
'with a procedure similar to that used for qualification testing. Ted said that only about one-half of a lift has needed the kiln dust. After the rain last week, kiln dust.was spread on the waste and some mixing took place with a sheeps foot roller. When the stabilizer, a large roto-tiller, arrived onsite, it_was used to finish mixing all the material to which the kiln dust had been
, added.
The rest of wastes have not needed the kiln dust, although some dust was sprinkled over wastes later in the week as a precaution against expected rain. 'It appears to me that this was consistent with the qualification procedures.
There are currently eight lifts in and they're working on the ninth.
