Plant shutdown was. initiated to investigate ana repair an oil leak in the West Main Feedwater Pump (MFP) motor bea rings. The oil leak resulted from a combination of missing flow restricting orifices in the motor bea ring oil supply lines and excess clearance between upper and lower bearing housing shells introduced following a recent bearing replacement and pump overhaul. To p revent recurrence, the flow restricting orifices have been installed and the clearance between the motor bearing housing shells was corrected to design specification.
