SUMMARY

MONTil: September,1997 McGuire Unit i began the month of September operating at 100% full power. "Ihe unit operated at or near 100% full power until 09/06/97 at 2147 when a reactor trip occurred due to loss of 120V AC non vital power supply center. The unit was placed on line 09/09/97 at 0705. During power escalation the unit held at 68% power on 09/09/97from 2030 to 2122 due to "C" heater drain pump seal leak and nuclear instrumentation calibration. The unit retumed to 100% full power on 09/10/97 at 1033 and operated at or near 100% full power the remainder of the month.

SUMMARY

MONTH: September,1997 McGuire Unit 2 began the month of September operating at 100% full power. ne unit operated at or near 100% full power until 09/06/97 at 2147, when a reactor trip occurred due to loss of 120V AC non vital power supply center, ne unit was placed on line 09/10/97 at 0026. During power escalation, the unit held at 50% power from 0645 to 0930 to perform nuclear instrumentation calibration check. De unit returned -

to 100% full power on 09/15/97 at 0700 and operated at or near 100% full power the remainder of the month.
