Dear Mr. Denton:
South Carolina Electric and Gas Company hereby requests a revision to the Virgil C.
Summer Nuclear Station Technical Specifications. This revision involves changes to Technical Specifications concerning the measurement uncertainty for the Reactor Coolant System (RCS) flow rate and defines allowable power levels for an RCS flow rate less than 100% of Thermal Design flow. contains the proposed amended pages to the Technical Specifications, and provides an explanation and justification for these proposed changes. provides the results of an analysis, pursuant to 10 CFR 50.91,which concludes that the proposed changes do not involve a significant hazards consideration.
These changes have been reviewed and approved by the Plant Safety Review Committee and the Nuclear Safety Review Committee. A check in the amount of one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00) is enclosed for processing this change.
