A routine safety inspection was conducted by Mr. Percy Clemons of this
office on September 29-October 2,1986, of activities related to the radio-
active liquid and gaseous effluent control program at the Pilgrim Nuclear
Power Station. Mr. Clemons discussed the findings of this inspection with
Mr. Pedersen and other members of your staff at the conclusion of the
inspection on October 2, 1986.
Areas examined during this inspection included management control, ventilation
systems, effluent release records, procedures, semi-annual effluent reports,
effluent instrumentation, quality assurance / quality control, offsite dose
calculation manual and audits.
