Dear Mr. Denton:
Your letter dated September 23,1986, forwarded the Safety Evaluation (SE) of Westinghouse Owners Group Topical Report WCAP-10858, "AMSAC Generic Design Package" and requested South Carolina Electric & Gas Company's (SCE&G) schedule for completion and implementation of the plant specific design features addressed in the SE.
SCE&G is developing a plant specific AMSAC system based on the Westinghouse generic design with AMSAC actuation on low steam generator water leve t.
The AMSAC design is scheduled for im alementation during our fourth refueling outage with an estimated starting date o? October 1,1988. Details of the plant specific design will be provided no later than five months in advance of the outage, which is April 30,1988 based on the present schedule.
