Inspection 50-320/86-15
Between December 9,1986 end January 9,1987, site inspectors conducted a
routine safety inspection of activities authorized by NRC License No. DPR-73
at your facility. The enclosed NRC Region I Inspection Report describes the
drEas exc:nir.ed.
The inspection consisted of selective exaatnations of
"
procedures and represent 4tive records, interviews with personnel, and
observations by the inspector. Mr. C. Cwgill of our office sumarized the
inspection findings with you and members of your staf f on January 16, 1937.
Based on the results of the inspection, it appears that one of your activities
was not conducted in full compliance with NRC requirements, as set forth in
the Notice of Violation, cnclosed herewith as Appendix A.
This violation has
been categorized by Severity Level in acccrdance with the NRC Enforcement
Policy (10 CFR 2, Appendix C) published in the Federal Register (49 FR 8583),
dated March 8, 1984.
You are required to respond to this letter and in
preparing your response, you should follow the instructions in Appendix A.
The response directed by this letter and the accompanying Notice is not
subject to the clearance prccedures of the Office of t< anagen.ent and Budget as
required by the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1930, PL 96-511.
