! - As a result of Tri-State Motor Transport Company's decision to cease hauling i Category I shipments of SSNM there is no qualified carrier for such shipments.

t Transnuclear, Inc., the licensee for the export of Category I shipments, recently proposed alternatives for both near and long term solutions 'to this situation.

The near tem approach involves arranging with Tri-State to continue operations for shipments' pending in the next three to four months. In the long term, l

Transnuclear is proposing possible use of helicopters or exploring the possibility of arranging for surface transport by 00E on the domestic portion of these shipments.
