REQUEST FOR DOCUMENTS FOR THE REVIEW 0F THE HADDAM NECK PROBABILISTIC SAFETY STUDY During recent telephone conversations with your staff and during the meeting with your staff on May 20-21, 1986, we indicated that we need additional information to complete our review of the Haddam Neck Probabilistic Safety Study (PSS). Please provide the NRC with copies of the P& ids or one-line diagrams that your PRA staff used for development of simplified diagrams of the following systems:
DC Power AC Power Auxiliary Feedwater System Main Feedwater System Component Cooling Water System Instrument Air System Containment Spray System Containment Air Recirculation Fans Functional Control Diagrams We also need copies of all the fault trees (unreduced) developed in the PSS for support state 1.
Inasmuch as this information is currently on the docket in other forms, you need only provide two copies of these documents directly to our office; however, you should submit copies of the forwarding letter to the NRC Document Control Desk for docketing. Your early cooperation in this matter will speed the NRC staff's review of the Haddam Neck PSS. This request affects fewer than ten respondents and, therefore, OMB clearance is not required in accordance with P.L.96-511.
