This is to acknowledge receipt of your letter dated February 4,1987, which transmitted changes, identified as Revision 14, to the " Donald C. Cook Nuclear Power Plant Modified Amended Security Plan," under the provisions of 10 CFR 50.54(p).

We have reviewed the submitted changes and have determined that, except for the changes concerning vital area / equipment designations which involve a policy issue and must be reviewed by the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation (NRR),

they are consistent with the provisions of 10 CFR 50.54(p) and are therefore acceptable.

Accordingly, the changes to vital area / equipment designations are being forwarded to NRR for review and acceptance. The enclosures to your letter contain Safeguards Information of a type specified in 10 CFR 73.21 and are being withheld from public disclosure.
