Box 41 Lycoming, New York, 13093 Gentlemen: Subject: Inspection Report No. 50-333/87-01 This refers to the routine safety inspection of the Emergency Preparedness Program conducted during the period January 12-15, 1987 at the James A. Fitz- Patrick Nuclear Power Plant and to the discussions of our findings held by Mr. J. Hawxhurst with yourself and other members of your staff at the con- clusion of the inspection. Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector. Within the scope of this inspection no violations were identified. No reply to the letter is required. Your cooperation with us in this matter is appre- ciated.
