Gentlemen:
This refers to the NRC's Systematic Assessment of Licensee Performance (SALP) 5
Board Report for the Byron Nuclear Station and our meeting of February 3,1986,
which discussed the contents of the report.
Based on the formal exchange of information between our respective staffs, and
in the absence of formal written comments from you requiring resolution, only
one minor change to the report is necessary.
This change is identified on the
enclosed errata sheet.
A corrected page is included for insertion into your
copy of the report.
Enclosed, as an Appendix to the SALP Board Report, is a summarization of our
meeting which includes names of those persons in attendance.
Issuance of the
Appendix serves as the final step in the SALP process.
In accordance with Section 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," Part 2,
Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, a copy of this letter with the
referenced attachments, will be placed in the NRC's Public Document Room.
No reply to this letter is required; however, should you have questions on the
Appendix to the report, or if you need clarification, please let us know and
we will be pleased to discuss them with you.
