Dear Mr. Keppler:
The above references provided information concerning a potential deficiency reportable pursuant to 10 CFR 50.55(e) regarding existing concrete expansion anchor (CEA) installations. The purpose of this letter is to inform you the corrective actions identified by Commonwealth Edison to address this issue are now complete. This is considered to be a final report.
As discussed in Reference (d), Sargent & Lundy (S&L) had requested the site contractors to clarify information relative to their inspection results.
These clarifications were necessary in order for S&L to complete their evaluation of the inspection results.
S&L's ovaluation is now complete and no design significant discrepancies were identified. Commonwealth Edison Company Nonconformance Reports Number 658 (Unit 1) and 659 (Unit 2), which tracked the resolution of this issue, are now closed. All documentation is available for your inspection.
