FMiraglia NThompson SMiner Region V-4 SilBJECT: AMENDMENT NO. 83 TO FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE NO. DFR-54 The Commission has issued the enclosed Amendment No. 83 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-54 for the Rancho Seco Nuclear Generating Station. This amendment consists of changes to the Technical Specifications (TSs) in response to your application dated January 24, 1986, as supplemented September 19, 1986.

This amendment increases the setpoint for reactor trip on high pressure from 2300 psig to 2355 psig and increases the anning threshold for anticipatory reactor trip on turbine trip from 20% to 45% of full power.

A copy of our Safety Evaluation is also enclosed. Notice of Issuance will be included in the Commission's biweekly Federal Reoister notice.
