Dear Dr. Grace:
As required by 10CFR50.54(q), South Carolina Electric & Gas Company (SCE&G),
acting for itself and as agent for South Carolina Public Service Authority, submits two (2) copies of Revision 18 to the Radiation Emergency Plan.
Revision 18 is submitted to complete the actions identified in the September 25, i
1986, letter on the emergency classification scheme of the Emerge,ncy Plan. The Emergency Plan and implementing procedures were revised to reinstate the previous classification scheme as presented in Revision 14. In addition, retraining of i
operations and key accident assessment personnelis complete.
Revision 18 reflects changes in emergency classification system; offsite emergency organization; onsite meteorological measurement program; offsite environmental monitoring program; seismic monitoring program; dose assessment and measurement program; and definitions to emerge,ncy classifications. This revision, which has been reviewed by the Plant Safety Review Committee, does not decrease l
the effectiveness of the Radiation Emergency Plan to meet the standards of 10CFR50(b) and Appendix E.
