Dear Sir:
This is to confirm the telephone conversations of January 9 and 13, 1987, between CP&L and Region II office personnel concerning our commitments to the Severity Level IV violation described in USNRC Inspection Report 86-21.
In summary, CP&L has changed certain aspects of the October 17, 1986 commitment as requested by the Region II office:
Training for the members of the Accident Assessment Team was completed December 31, 1986.
Training for members of the Damage Control Team was completed January 9, 1987.
Multimedia first aid training for emergency response organization members was completed January 21, 1987.
In addition, CPR training for organization members was also completed January 21, 1987.
All other training deficiencies will be accomplished and full compilance achieved by March 31, 1987.
