Extension of Time to Answer Item in Notice of Violation and Proposed Imposition of Civil Penalty Dated December 12, 1983 Gentlemen:
In your response to our Notice of Violation and Proposed Imposition of Civil Penalties dated December 12, 1983, you requested an extension of time to respond to Item I.B. until 30 days after receipt of the Office of Investigation Report. Your request was granted by Mr. R. C. DeYoung, Director, Office of Inspection and Enforcement, by letter dated January 19, 1984. Enclosed herewith is the said report. Several pages (15 thru 21, 26 and 27) and attachments (9-13) have been extracted, and various words and phrases struck out, to protect the identity of confidential sources or the i
privacy of persons named therein. Your time to answer the referenced apparent violation expires thirty (30) days after you receive this letter.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790(a), a copy of this letter and the enclosure will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room unless you notify this office, by telephone, within 10 days of the date of this letter, and submit written application to withhold information contained therein promptly thereafter.
Such application must be consistent with the requirements of 10 CFR 2.790(b)(1).
If we do not hear from you in this regard within the specified periods noted above, this report will be ma available to the public and placed in the Public Document Room.
