17.1.2.4A reducing the periodicity of GSU review of all- conL ulled docu-
ments fr a 'one (1) year to two (2) years was made after March 11, 1983."
'Ihis infomation was given in error.
'By letter RBG-15,234 dated June 10, 1983 GSU provided th. NRC with the
River Bend Station '(RBS) Ccr-LwLion @ Prvy&=u. As stated in that let-
- ter, "The RBS Construction @ Pre v i.a describes the quality assurance pro-
gram in effect on March .11, 1983 and identifies changes to the quality
assurance prev iou since the issuance of the Ccnstruction Permit." Section
17.1.2.4A of this suhaittal specifies that GSU reviews all c iLviled docu-
ments which they issue everf two years. The two year review ccurmitment was
in effect on Marcti 11, 1983, and no subsequent modification to that ccanit-
ment has been made. GSU ccmsiders that it is in emp14ance with the letter
and : intent of 10CFR50.55 (f) (3) .
Please find enclosed a copy of GSU in e l mem rand e No. NL-82-152 dated
W 23, 1982 and pages 17.1-9 and 10 of .its at+= 0- .L. This menoran-
de served to distribute the latest reva.sion of the RBS Construction @
Prvytmu to GSU perscmnel. 'Ihe text of Section 17.1.2.4A describes the two
year cycle for review of centrolled doceents. The section heading " Yearly
Review of Controlled Docments" is a typo v ighical error and should have
read " Periodic Review of Controlled Docments" and was W x-Jantly cor-
rected in the June 10, 1983 subnittal of the RBS construction @ Preytmu to
the NRC.
