Dear Dr. Schultheiss:
Referesca: Letter from Schultheiss/ Asst to Fabic, dated June 3D,1961 Thank you for sending us the abstracts of presentations at the Internatical Specialist Meeting on BWR-Pressure Suppression Cantajansat Technology.
We regret very much that no one from the USWE staff attended the meeting.
We can only hope that our hudget situation in the caming years will met be se austere.
l l
We have evaluated carefully your request for a visit by Dr. McCauley of LLNL against his schedule and his centractual obligattees and found that i
it is tapractical to request additieaal travel of him in this period of l
time. Dr. McCauley is currently la Tatuan witnessing ta-plant SRV discharge tests la the first epeestional am-6 Mark III containamat pleet. He uns i
l in JAERI la early August for andal tests and is scheduled to se back agais i
soon. Coupled with the need to complete unfinished projects by the end l
ef the fiscal year, we reluctantly arrived at this decisten. We will review the situation again next fiscal year.
j l
We hope that this decision will not faceovenience you.
Sincerely, Original Signed By i

Letter, E. McCauley to K. Namatame, 8 July 1981.
Dear Mr. Namatame:
As discussed with Dr. Kukita (ref. 2), we enclose for your reference copies of the material invoices for the subject shipments. According to Air-Sea Forwarders, Shipment #1 (attachment 1) arrived at Narita on July 29, 1981 and Shipment #2 (attachment 2) arrived on August 2, 1981. Shipping of the air dome assembly has been delayed due to the requirement that we also supply a winch for use.in the drywell. That equipment design and fabrication is now completed and ice expect final shipment about August 6,1981. A draf t copy of that invoice is enclosed as attachment 3.
Revision 1 of the proposed testing schedule (sent earlier by ref. 3) is enclosed (attachment 4). Now indicated is our estimate of the scheduling required for wetwell draining and filling operations.
In general, they can be done overnight. One drain operation, however should be scheduled during the work day to minimize the overall testing program time period.
Thank you for your continuing assistance and cooperation.
Yours truly,
