Background

In the amendment application, the licensee has corrected several administrative changes and has incorporated testing requirements for sealed plutonium sources.

Discussion The licensee proposed a new License Condition Section 4.7.

The section l

incorporates leak detection equirements for sealed plutonium sources.

l This requirement was inadvertently omitted during license renewal.

Other pages were revised to correct references for administrative purposes.

This has no effect on health and safety.

Conclusion / Recommendation The license amendment re-establishes requirements for testing sealed plutonium sources. This has no adverse effect on the public health and safety or on the environment. Approval is recomended.
