In accordance with your amendnunt application dated July 16, 1986, and pursuant to Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, Part 70, Special Nuclear Materials License No. SNM-36L is hereby amended to revise the termination date for uranium discharges to the septic leach field. Condition 27 is revised to read as follows:
Condition 27. The licensee shall cease the discharge of liquid wastes containing uranium to the septic leach field area by August 31, 1987, or within 30 days after issuance of a state discharge permit, whichever is earlier.
All other conditions of the license shall remain the same.
We are continuing our review of the soil analysis data tht UNC provided by letter datcd October 29, 1985, and supplements iated April 22 and July'PS, 1986. Vs will be in contect with you upon completion of our review.
The above condition was discussed with Mr. Donald Luster of your staff on August 27, 1986. For your infoemation, enclosed is a copy of our Safety Evaluation Report.
