SUBJECT: NRC INSPECTION REPORT NOS. 50-325/87-07 AND 50-324/87-07

This refers to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) inspection conducted by -

W. B. Gloersen and S. S. Adamovitz on March 30-April 3,1987. The inspection

included a review of activities authorized for your Brunswick facility. At the f

conclusion of the inspection, the findings were discussed with those members of , 3

your staff identified in the enclosed inspection report. ,,, t ; ,

Areas examined during the inspection are identified in the repok. Within \ ,

these areas, the inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures y

and representative records, interviews with personnel, and observatfcn of

activities in progress. The inspectors also conducted independer.t

measurements, in the Region II Mobile Laboratory at your site to verify your (

capability for analyzing radioactive effluents and to establish and maintain '

standardized methodology among regulated facilities and the NRC.

Within the scope of the inspection, no violations or deviations were

identified. ,

In accordance with Section 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice,," Pa$t 2,

Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, a copy of this letter and Rts enclosure
