Thank you for your response of January 13, 1987, to our Notice.of Violation

issued on December 15, 1986, concerning activities conducted at your Catawba
facility. . We have evaluated your response and found that it meets the
requirements of 10 CFR 2.201.
The portion of the violation referencing
'
procedures TT/1/B/9100/10 and TT/1/A/6100/03 will remain, whereas reference to
,
the other six procedures cited in the inspection report w!11 be deleted from
the violation based on your assertion that these tests did -not involve an
abnormal mode of operation and did not impact the safety of plant operations.
We will examine the implementation of your corrective actions during future
'
inspections including a review of the six procedures deleted from the
j
violation to ensure our concurrence with your position.
