ISSUANCE OF SAFETY EVALUATION REPORT RELATING TO DELETION OF CHARC0AL ADSORBER C00LDOWN MODE FOR LIMERICK GENERATING STATION, UNIT 2 A safety evaluation prepared by the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation in connection with your propospl of December 29, 1986 is enclosed. Your letter proposed a modification of the Limerick Unit 2 Reactor Enclosure Recirculation System (RERS) filter train configuration that would delete the cooldown air flow path to each of the charcoal adsorbers in the PERS filter trains. As indicated in the enclosure, we find your proposed change acceptable.
Copies of the report will be placed in the Commission's Public Document Room located at 1717 H Street, N.W., Washington, D.C.
20555, and in the local public document room at the Pottstown Public Library, 500 High Street, Pottstown, Pennsylvania 19464.
