BEAVER VALLEY UNIT 1 - INTERIM REVIEW RESULTS AND ndOUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON INSTRUMENTATION TO FOLLOW COURSE OF ACCIDENT (TAC 51071)

Ry letters dated November 29, 1985 and October 13, 1986, you provided a detailed description of Beaver Valley Unit l's conformance to the guidelines of Regulatory Guide 1.97.

We have reviewed the information you submitted in the referenced letters and conclude that you have provided an explicit commitment on conformance to Regulatory Guide 1.97, with certain exceptions. We further conclude that your justifications for those exceptions are acceptable.

There are, however, some items for which we could not conclude that adequate justification was provided. We have identified those items in the enclosed technical evaluation report (EGG-NTA-7150) as un.iustified exceptions.

Please respond to the identified items within 45 days of receipt of this letter.

This information request affects fewer than 10 respondents; therefore, OMR clearance is not required under P.L.96-511.
