The Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) is under contract to the NRC's Office of Nuclear Material Safety and Safeguards (NMSS) to conduct analyses of nuclear power plant sites in order to identify those areas or combinations of areas in which sabotage actions could result in radiological releases in excess of 10 CFR 100 limits. As part of this task, it is necessary for representatives from LANL to visit each nuclear plant site.
Two LANL representatives are currently scheduled to visit the Nine Mile Point Unit 2 site during the period of March 23-26, 1987 to conduct the site spe-cific analysis. They will need the assistance of a person knowledgeable in the area of operations as well as two copies of general piping, electrical and site layout diagrams. Other, more detailed diagrams may be requested.

Please contact him at your earliest convenience regarding the acceptability of the dates for the site visit by the LANL representatives and the name of your representative with whom they should interface.
All safeguards and comercial or financial infomation reviewed or gathered by the LANL representatives will be protected from disclosure in accordance with established NRC regulations.
