Inspection 50-289/86-19
During the period from October 3, 1986, to October 31, 1986, members of the NRC
Region I staff conducted routine safety inspection activities at your facility.
The results of these inspections are documented in the enclosed report. At the
conclusion of the inspection, Mr. D. Johnson of my staff summarized the inspec-
tion findings with Mr. J. Colitz and other members of your staff.
As a result of our inspections, we identified one apparent violation of NRC
requirements.
In your response, you should follow the instructions in
Appendix A.
Also, this letter acknowledges receipt of your letter of February 11, 1986, in
response to our questions / concerns on the emergency feedwater (EFW) system.
Our initial review indicates your responses are generally acceptable; and final
acceptance of your response to these questions / concerns is pending on-site in-
spection or issuance of the staff's safety evaluation for the final Cycle 6
EFW design.
