McGuire Nuclear Station - Unit 2 Docket No. 50-370 Gentlemen:
On June 23, 1986 McGuire Nuclear Station, Unit 2, entered Technical Specification Action Statement 3.0.3 due to both trains of the Contaitunent Spray System inoperable due to high temperature on the Reactor Makeup Water Storage Tank. Unit 2 was in Mode 3, Hot Standby, at the time of this event. This event is reportable pursuant to CFR 50.73 Section (a) (2) (i) (B). The Licensee Event Report for this event will be submitted by August 6,1986, pending co:spletion of the event investigation by Duke Power Company.
