The Commission has issued the enclosed exemption from the control room operability requirements of 10 CFR 50.44(c)(3)(iii) as requested by your letter of October 3, 1986, for the Yankee reactor coolant system high point vents.

The exemption is being forwarded to the Office of the Federal Register for publication. A Notice of Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact was published for this action in the Federal Register on October 28, 1986 (51 FR 39441).
