Inspection Report No. 50-334/86-10
A routine safety inspection of the radiological protection program during an
outage at the Beaver Valley Power Station, Unit I was conducted on June 2-6,
1986. The areas examined during the inspection are identified in the enclosed
inspection report and included:
status of previously identified items, audits,
training and qualification, implementation of the radiation protection program,
ALARA, and worker concerns.
The inspection findings indicated that there are inadequacies in your air samp-
ling program. This section is discussed in Section 6.0 of the attached report.
You are requested to respond within 30 days of receipt of this letter.
In your
response, you are requested to address your actions to strengthen your air
sampling program including Items A through G of Section 6 of the enclosed
inspection report.
