SGMl:EKS 70-1703 Eastman Kodak Company ATTN:

E. Scott Harter Radiation Safety Officer Health & Environment Laboratories Building 320, Kodak Park Rochester, New York 14650 Gentlemen:

Your revised Physical Security Plan for the Protection of Special Nuclear Material of Moderate Strategic Significance, dated May 14, 1986,. transmitted by your letter dated July 29, 1986, was reviewed and found acceptable by NRC's Region I office.

You were so notified in a September 30, 1986 letter from Thomas T. Martin, Director, Division of Radiation Safety and Safeguards.

In order to formally incorporate your revised Physical Security Plan as a condition of license, we have requested that the Division of Fuel Cycle and Material Safety issue a license condition which will supersede the two un-numbered license conditions issued by letter dated May 7, 1981 from George W.

McCorkle.

You should be receiving a letter to this effect from the Division of Fuel Cycle and Material Safety in the near future.

Sincerely, O

Willard B. Brown, Chief Safeguards Material Licensing and International Activities Branch Division of Safeguards, NMSS
