SUMMARY
OF OPERATING EXPERIENCE
- March, 1987 d
4
- With the exception of brief load reductions on March 8, March 22 and March 30, Unit No. 2 operated at essentially full power throughout the month.
reduction on March 8 was to facilitate isolation of a valve The load packing leak in a pressure transmitter sensing line associated with No. 21 reactor coolant. coop.
The packing leak at. valve 4138 was terminated by closing upstream isolation valve 954A.
The load reductions on March 22 and March 30 were due to high steam genera-tor chlorides resulting from a condenser tube leak, and removal of No. 22
- heater dre.n1 tank pump from service, respectively.
The heater drain tank pump was shut down to investigate and correct excessive pump vibration and deterioration of the pump base support.
