0F 12 BLADE DEFLECTION TEST DUE TO PRESSURE The system was adjusted so the closed damper blades saw one and one half (1-1/2) times the design differential pressure. The deflection gauge was then read under

pressure and recorded. The pressure was then released and the gauge returned to within

.002" of the zero point.

l Table #1 lists the tag number,' the tested differential pressure, the deflection on the axle centerline of the blade and the allowable deflection.

On the computer printout, Determination No. I was the pressure subjected to closed desper.

la asch case actual deflection was less than the allowable deflection and no rework was necessary.

0F 12 LEAKAGE TEST The test damper was mounted to the end of the test chamber and the differential pressure across the device was gradually increased from zero to 150% of the maximum design pressure. Leakage readings were taken at 70, 80, 90, 100 and 110% of this pressure. The leakage was calculated, corrected to standard air and plotted. The measured leakage was then read from the curve.

Table #2 lists the damper tag number, the allowable leakage and the measured leakage results.

l In each case the actual leakage is less than or equal to the allowable laakage.
