Subject: Inspection No. 50-213/86-12
A routine safety inspection of emergency prepardness activities was conducted
April 25-26, at Connecticut Yankee Atomic Power Company's Haddam Neck Plant and
Northeast Utilities Corporate Headquarters by Mr. W. Lazarus and others of this
office. Discussions of our findings were held by Messrs. Lazarus and Amato
,
with you and other members of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
No violations were identified. Your performance in the onsite portion of the
-
emergency prepardness exercise and at corporate headquarters on April 25-26,
demonstrated implementation of the Emergency Plan, Emergency Plan Implementing
Procedures and the Corporate Organization for Nuclear Incidents Procedure
Manual in a manner which would adequately provide protective measures for the
health and safety of the public. No reply to this letter is required.
