Gentlemen:
This refers to the announced physical security inspection conducted by
Mr. D. E. Funk, Jr. of this office on October 21-26 and November 1,1988,
of activities at Lacrosse Boiling Water Reactor (LAC 8WR), authorized by
NRC Operating License No. OpR-45 and to the discussion of our findings with
Mr. J. Parkyn and other members of your staff at the conclusion of the onsite
inspection on October 26, 1988.
The enclosed copy of our inspection report identifies areas examined during
the inspection. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of a selective
examination of procedures and representative records, observations, and
trterviews with personnel.
No violations of NRC requirements were identified during the course of this
inspection.
Arias examined during the inspection concern a subject matter which is exempt
from disclosure according to Section 2.790 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice,"
Part 2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations. Consequently, our report of
this inspection will not be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
